Goat Scout Sketches

I've been very busy lately so sorry for the lack of updates. I know it's better for me to show off the sketchbook as I fill it but I have to take the time to scan pages and you know how that is. I would go digital more but I'm kind of in the middle of a 3D project also I'm in the process of arranging my graduation portfolio which is mind numbing in itself.

I'm still...a lot less stressed out than I should be...though I'm sure giving my superiors sass and snark maybe my way of coping. In the mean time, I can post some sketches of my Goat Scout that I'm working on in 3D right now.

 So this originally started out as a little space demon. I was experimenting with horn shapes.

Slowly and steadily, he became more goat-like in appearance.

  I then experimented with idea of a female goat. 

I was liking where I was going this the designs so far, despite dropping out the space idea. 

 I did some more digital sketches later on.

 Plus some silhouette sketches.

Finally, I have something that my and my friends had a good laugh about. I colored it up and decided since I need to demonstrate some competence in 3D modeling and I was straining for what I wanted to use Mudbox for, I decided to model and sculpt this character. So far I'm not regretting it yet!.
