Chicago Game Jam 2013

I recently did a new game jam sponsored by The Nerdery and IGDA Chicago  last weekend. I worked on the character artwork for the game.

Protect your man from death by exploring and clicking objects in the environment!  Play it Here! It's a Unity Game so install the player if you can.

Science Game Jam 2013

I spend the last two days working with my friends on a game for the Science Game Jam run by Rob Lockhart and hosted by the Field Museum. It was my first game jam and the first time I've used Flash in six months. I worked on the artwork for the Fish, fish parts, and the minor swimming and water animations.

"These monsters have plagued the land since ancient times. They each play different roles, and their weaponry varies. They prefer to act in groups. None of them are intelligent by any definition of the word. Curiously, they seem to have a mysterious obsession with fashionable undergarments." -Fi

I've been playing too much Skyward Sword.

Spring Breaking!

Well, the first quarter of college has drawn to a close and now it's time to get some business done before the next quarter. Top on my list is finishing a extra project that I am running out of time for after that I can pretty much dick around and play vidya games. I hope to beat Donkey Kong 64, get farther on No More Heroes, and start Quake II on the N64. Speaking of video games, I just played a demo of Monster Hunter Tri, and I infer that this is a game you can only play with your friends, because going alone will get you killed often. Of course I wouldn't know what multi-player would be like but the game's harder in single player. Another qualm I have with the game is that you have no pausing, so when your fighting and some one calls the phone you'll have to get yourself away from the monster, though it only prolongs the inevitable because the monsters can move to different areas as well, royally screwing you and killing you and your time. But, I'll cut it some slack since it's my first time and it's just a demo so let us see this new game.
