I maybe a week late when it comes to making New Years resolutions but I figured, hey, I'm thinking about it so why not.
Things that I'd like to improve with my drawing: This stuff kinda echoes another list of art complaints I have.
- Drawing women
- Drawing Animals
- Doing more color theory
- Do more things digitally (and not hate it)
I would love it if I could get my digital work to look as well as what I do with colored pencils.
I think it's the fact that it just "feels" different.
Man I love colored pencils! They are so practical! (except when shading large areas).
On a more personal, "has nothing to do with art" note, I'd like to be a more tolerable person
- I'd like to do some more exploring, I've lived near Chicago since I was six and I've never actually took a day to just walk though the city. Maybe I'll try exploring Schaumburg a little more because there's still things that I've never seen in that town.
- I'd like to start a comic club, I haven't the slightest clue where to start and even then, I haven't made a comic since high school and even then I did that sporadically.
- Find my iPod! I got angry one day and I threw my iPod somewhere in my room and I have yet to find it.
Craft my body so it won't need sleep. This is wish full thinking but since I now have classes at eight in the morning and you know the formula for that kind of thing: Hour-long commute + Morning Traffic = Waking up at an ungodly hour to not be late.
Talk to people more and not worry about looking like an idiot by doing it.
Develop a Flash gam-I mean, learn Actionscript
Let's hope the New year makes me not suck anymore that I did previously.
Here's some more sketches:
