Kyle Monday Pilot Script

Cool Music and Opening of Title Card

Narrator:

“Speakeasy Voice Acting Club Presents: The Adventures of Kyle Monday!”

Fade In:

Ext. DOCTOR DARKSTAR’S Laboratory-Establishing-Night

Two guards patrol the doorway to the secret jungle lab. DOLLY OUT to the main characters hiding quietly in the bushes awaiting and observing the area.

KYLE MONDAY:

“There it is Jimmy! The entrance to Doctor Darkstar’s Laboratory!”

JIMMY MULLEN (scared):

“Golly gee whiz Kyle! There are so many bad guys! How are we supposed to get inside?

Close up of KYLE

KYLE (confident):

“Leave that to me!”

ANOTHER ANGLE-MEDIUM SHOT

The two guards hear a noise and pause in their patrol.

SFX: RUSTLING LEAVES

GUARD A:

”Did you hear something?”

CUT to a flying rock with anime style moving lines.

Back to previous angle-GUARD A is hit with rock

GUARD A(in pain):

“Argh!”

GUARD B rushes toward the unconscious body of GUARD A

GUARD B (concerned):

“What Happened? Are you alright?”

KYLE karate chops GUARD B, rendering him unconscious.

GUARD B (in pain):

“Argh!”

ANOTHER ANGLE-FULL SHOT

     

KYLE and JIMMY over the unconscious bodies of the TWO GUARDS.

JIMMY (excited):

“Golly gee whibbly whizzy! You sure showed them Kyle!”

CLOSE UP-FAVOR KYLE WITH JIMMY IN BACK

KYLE:

“Alright Jimmy! Let’s go!

JIMMY (excited):

“Yeah! Right behind you Kyle!”

INT. HALLWAY-DOCTOR DARKSTAR’S LABRATORY  

The HEROES walk inside the laboratory.

INT. DOCTOR DARKSTAR’S LABORATORY-MAIN AREA

The HEROES enter the MAIN AREA of  DARKSTAR’S LABORATORY and star in wonderment. It is a strange and deadly place of science and mysteries. Florescent lights flicker and neon lights glow within the tubes that line the walls. The scaffolding trails throughout the higher points of the building for overseeing all operations.

JIMMY(overwhelmed):

“Golly gee wobbly whiz! This place is huge!”

CUT to a laser gun firing

SFX:zap!

Cut to the HEROES being zapped by laser gun, rendered unable to move.

KYLE(straining):

“Oh no! I can’t move! We’re trapped by the laser beam!”

DOCTOR DARKSTAR (offscreen):

(Evil Laugh)

CUT-reveal DARKSTAR as he pets his evil cat.

DARKSTAR (Triumpant):

"Kyle Monday and his little monkey boy friend! You have fallen into my trap and have sealed your doom!”

CLOSE UP-FAVOR KYLE WITH JIMMY IN BACK

JIMMY (freaked out):

“Holly jolly golly wolly whibbly whobbly wee whiz biz! It’s Dr. Darkness and he’s going to make mince meat out of us!”

NARRATOR:

“Will Kyle Monday and Jimmy Escape the clutches of Dr. Darkstar? Join Speakeasy on Mondays from 2pm to 3pm to help us find out next time on…"
