I’ve been spending a distressing amount of time watching Xavier the Renegade Angel. I saw a little dumb connection, so I drew our main hero in a Wind Waker Style, obviously as a Rito. Enjoy!

Old High School Art Crap
So I was cleaning my room and I finds some hidden treasure that I always keep for vague childhood reasons. I found old prints from High School during the time I was first touching Photoshop! So before I put them away forever (read: throw them in the garbage), I decided to scan and post them to show you all today!

New Art 7-18-2014
New Artwork! Been Neglecting this blog as most of my activity is in Twitter and Tumblr. Ah well, I've been busy trying to make myself better by not being scared of the tablets. So yeah I'm doing more to get better at just sitting down and working digitally. Still bad at time management though.

Sketches of the Week 3-29-2014
I wanted to do more this week than I could and ended up crashing a burning.
I attempted to make a painting of a head right? No biggie just concentrate and everything is fine right? Wrong, I ended up getting stuck on where to go next.
"Okay" I thought, "maybe I should begin with a gray-scale and nail down the values first?" Good Idea.

Chicago Game Jam 2013
I recently did a new game jam sponsored by The Nerdery and IGDA Chicago last weekend. I worked on the character artwork for the game.
Protect your man from death by exploring and clicking objects in the environment! Play it Here!
It's a Unity Game so install the player if you can.

Pirates and other things.
Some work of this week. This week isn't as horrible since I bothered to actually do something to improve myself. Or at least do something again..

Sketches 9-14-2013
This week's been quite full a work. So the sketches have been a bit lackluster. I did manage to work out some hair studies this weekend, so that's nice I suppose.

Weekly sketch stuff
Sorry for the lack of activity, I've been taking a break for the (non-existent) internet networking things. Been dealing with other things beside art like coding, namely dealing with Linux and all of it's intricacies and tidbits, with the hope that things may go well. (spoiler: it didn't.)
So here's some stuff to make up for my absence.

Science Game Jam 2013
I spend the last two days working with my friends on a game for the Science Game Jam run by Rob Lockhart and hosted by the Field Museum. It was my first game jam and the first time I've used Flash in six months. I worked on the artwork for the Fish, fish parts, and the minor swimming and water animations.

Skater Kids Project
First pass concepts for a project that I plan to stick with and get done for the foreseeable future. I've shelved everything else since I felt it was holding me back and now I've decided exactly what I'm going to do. These characters will defiantly change in the near future. But for now, I'l see what I can do for any spare time I have every weekend.

Sketches 5-10-2013
This is what I've been up to these day. I'm posting mostly to get some activity. Some are older, some are newer. Most are me meandering through Photoshop. The lack of direction is killing me inside. I have questions to ask ... but I already know the answers: practice, study, and reference. It wouldn't hurt to just figure out where to begin with things. I think one thing I promise is to have color in any sketch I develop. It'll at least force me to bother coloring things. Finishing it is still an issue though. Baby steps people.

More Stuff Today.
Some more coloring of some lunchtime warm-ups.
I think I might need to get back to just doing studies, despite the fact that I'm gonna really hate them. I mostly throw my spare time drawing on sticky notes in my office. It keeps me drawing sure, but I'm not really, "improving". I need to start drawing things I hate. Which means, more flipping studies. They're necessary, I really don't want to do them, but I care enough about how I am compared to others when it come to art. I...base my self-worth on doing this.
Whatever, I want some more impressive things done next time.
